Paying homage to the legacy of Roland, our first collection gives attention to our foundational year of 1972 and our location of birth Osaka, Japan.

The Roland Corporation was established on April 18, 1972 in Osaka Japan. Decades later, we have experienced Roland influencing the sound of music more than any other equipment manufacturing company in history. From legacy machines producing legendary soundslike the TR-808 and Jupiter-4 to present day technologies like the Roland Cloud and Zenology, we recognize that the foundation Roland created in its early years is what established thir current success.

Paying homage to the legacy of Roland, the first in-line collection gives attention to Roland’s foundational year of 1972 and its location of origin; Osaka, Japan. As this is the birth of their lifestyle division, Roland feels the best way to build out this new category is to recognize the strength of their foundation. The 1972 EST collection does this by utilizing a recognizable “stamp” style design that uses our past to establish the future of Roland Lifestyle.
